The highlight of local domestic competitions in Canterbury, Wellington and Auckland will be the start of pre-season training for the AFL New Zealand Premiership.
Ahead of pre-season training, the Crows have announced a number of additions to their Premiership squad.
Alex Fakatoumafi picked up a knee injury on the eve of the 2020 Premiership but made a strong return in 2021. The former NZ International plays as a key striker and knows how to kick a goal. One of Alex’s highlights of his Premiership career was scoring a whopping 10 goals against his new side, the Western Crows in Round 9 of 2018.
The University Blues duo of Lachlan Kennedy and James Ellison were also retained by the Crows following the cancellation of the 2022 season.
Raiders duo Luke Lentner and Isaac Piper have both graduated through the Academy ranks and will look to make an impact for the Western Crows in 2023
