Two men wanted in connection with armed robberies in Nevada led California Highway Patrol officers on a high-speed chase from San Bernardino County to downtown Los Angeles on Saturday night.

San Bernardino County CHP officers allegedly started the chase in Barstow sometime after 8 p.m

The suspects had been linked to armed robberies in Henderson, Nevada, but the connection was not immediately made public.

The chase entered Los Angeles County at 8:46 PM on the westbound 210 Freeway where the suspect vehicle reached a speed of 90 mph and ended with the two men jumping out of the car at 9:25 PM on the 110 Freeway in the United States. south on Eighth Street, CHP officer Patrick Kimball said. The men were seen walking across lanes from south to north. Video shows a suspect being taken into custody near a parking garage as the search continues for a suspect believed to have jumped off the highway from a bridge.

That man was on the ground with at least one broken ankle and was taken to a hospital, Kimball said. It is not clear whether any weapons or stolen goods have been recovered.

The names of the suspects were not immediately released, nor was there any description of the armed robberies.
