City of Toronto opens registration for summer recreation programs | Things to do

Plan your summer vacation by registering for the City of Toronto’s Summer Recreation Programs beginning June 7.

This summer, the city will offer more than 6,500 registered courses with approximately 114,500 spaces, including arts, sports, swimming, fitness and wellness, for people of all ages, abilities and interests.

Registration starts June 7th at 7:00am Programs begin the week of Monday July 4th.

Mayor John Tory expressed his excitement at the city’s first full range of summer recreation programs since the start of the pandemic.

“For the first time in two years, we are delighted to be able to offer a full and dynamic range of summer programs to Torontonians of all ages and help create a healthy, fun and memorable summer,” Tory said in a statement.

Seats are still available for CampTO programs, which run weekly from Monday, July 4 to Friday, September 2.

CampTO is a creative camp experience for children aged four to 16 that combines physical activities, crafts, nature programs and outdoor activities in parks.

Registration for extracurricular recreation care and extracurricular programs for the 2022/2023 school year starts on June 6. More information can be found on the municipality’s webpage at bit.ly/3tloLLs

The Welcome Policy credit can be used to enroll in city recreation programs. People receiving social assistance, including Ontario Works, who live in Toronto are pre-approved to receive this credit and are encouraged to speak with their case worker.
