The Spanish newspaper “Marca” reported today, Wednesday, that the thief of the home of French striker Karim Benzema, the football player of Real Madrid, has been arrested, 3 years after the theft took place.

Karim Benzema’s home was raided on February 27, 2019, during Real Madrid’s match against arch-rival Barcelona (0-3) in the Clasico, which was held at the “Santiago Bernabeu”.

The newspaper, “Marca,” said a senior official in the Albanian government sector had been arrested in his native Albania on charges of stealing Benzema.

Alfred Prodani, accused of stealing Benzema’s house, is director of the state water company Corbin in Albania.

The arrest of Benzema’s pet thief came after the Albanian police cooperated with the International Criminal Organization “Interpol”.

Prodani has been accused of involvement in the theft of 40 houses in Spain since 2013, as the report confirms that all evidence gathered against him is conclusive and there is no suspicion of wrongdoing.
