Johnny Depp REFUSES To Hand Over $86K The ACLU Wants To Comply With Amber Heard Summons!

Johnny DeppThe legal troubles aren’t over yet!

His legal team found themselves in court again fighting it out with the… American Civil Liberties Union† Why?

Prosecutors know that an important moment was the proof Amber heard lied about donating her divorce money to the ACLU and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles† But that was not easy to prove.

Johnny demanded the records to prove that Amber gave her never-promised donation of a $7 million divorce settlement to split between the charities. The non-profit organization – which was responsible for the Washington Post opinion piece that started all this – wouldn’t release that information. The two got into intense back and forth, which led to Johnny suing the organization.

According to court documents obtained by: RadarOnline, the ACLU now claims they have spent a “considerable” amount of time answering several subpoenas related to the case. They want to be compensated for complying, saying executives were required to submit more than 7,500 documents and ultimately submit 2,000 documents to Johnny. And that, they say, costs them time and A LOT of money:

“The ACLU produced three witnesses — including its executive director — for more than 16 hours of statements. Along the way, Mr. Depp rejected numerous compromises to minimize the burden and costs on the ACLU and its employees.”

All told, they say Johnny owes them a whopping $86,000 to cover their costs. But Johnny isn’t about to cough up that amount. His lawyers objected to the claim in New York on Wednesday — the same day he was awarded $15 in his defamation case.

Johnny’s team claims the amount the ACLU is asking is “exorbitant and unreasonable”. however, the pirates of the caribbean alum noted that he wouldn’t mind paying some kind of fee — only if the amount was significantly reduced. Man, between this and the $3.5 million they never got from Amber, this hasn’t been a good relationship for them at all.

A judge hasn’t ruled on the case yet – so we’ll have to see what happens next!
