Justin Hartley doesn’t follow any news about his ex-wife Chrishell Stause’s love life after their divorce, according to a report.
Hartley, 45, and Stause, 40, were married from October 2017 to January 2021. Both have since split up, and the “This Is Us” star is reportedly not interested in keeping up with his ex’s dating life, including her newfound romance with singer G Flip, who identifies as non-binary.
“Justin doesn’t keep up with the news about Chrishell at all,” an anonymous source told Us Weekly. “He’s not one to follow celebrity news unless someone brings it up to him.”
The insider added that Hartley is “really all about keeping his personal life private, especially when it comes to his relationships.”
Hartley and Stause’s split in November 2019 was fraught with drama, with the ‘Selling Sunset’ star claiming in an August 2020 episode of her Netflix reality series that she learned via text message 45 minutes before ‘the world knew’ that he was from divorced her.
An unnamed source told Us Weekly at the time that Hartley was “annoyed” that “she is putting out their private information publicly.”
However, the first source said Hartley is no longer paying attention to Stause’s comments.
“What Chrishell wants to talk about on TV about their past is her business. He has nothing to do with it — he’s a long way from that relationship,” the insider told the outlet. “He doesn’t like drama and isn’t a big fan of reality TV. … He can’t control what she says. He doesn’t pay attention to it.”
The source went on to claim that the exes “haven’t spoken for a long time,” noting, “When they broke up and divorced, that was it.”
Stause announced she’s dating G Flip during the “Selling Sunset” season 5 reunion special, which premiered last week. Not only do the pair star in G Flip’s latest music video, “Get Me Outta Here”, but they also have multiple make-out sessions in the video.
Meanwhile, Hartley secretly married Sofia Pernas last year. Hartley, Pernas and Stause all met on the set of ‘The Young and the Restless’. Hartley’s ex-wife and current husband were reportedly close friends at the time, and he was in a relationship with Stause when he first met Pernas.
Hartley confirmed this in an interview with Haute Living in December 2021. According to the “Senior Year” actor, he was “unavailable” when he and Pernas first met. However, he met her again when he was “in a different place in my life” and “the timing was right.”
Stause responded to Hartley and Pernas’s wedding in Season 4 of “Selling Sunset,” saying she’s already moved on and wants the best for them.
“My ex-husband, Justin, has remarried to someone I know pretty well from back in the day,” Stause said in a confessional. “And a lot of things made sense after I figured that out. I wish them the best. You know, I think actually, if there was something, it felt good to know that. It felt like a little closure.”
