Manchester United will face competition to sign RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku, and Bayern Munich are now set to join the race to sign the Frenchman.
Nkunku, 24, was one of a number of names linked with a move to Old Trafford ahead of Erik ten Hag’s arrival and impending overhaul. Ralf Rangnick has already stated that new faces are needed in the summer, with Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard and Nemanja Matic all set to leave.
The former Paris Saint-Germain player has scored 31 goals this season. RB Leipzig are now 90 minutes away from the Europa League final, leading Rangers 1-0 to their second leg semi-final. Nkunku scored twice in the second leg of the quarter-final against Atalanta to set up a clash with the holders of the Scottish Premiership.

According to Pedro Almeida (via ESPN), Julian Nagelsmann will try to sign the France international this summer. United have previously been linked with a €60 million transfer for him.
Meanwhile, United have been reported to have failed to ‘hijack’ Borussia Dortmund’s attempts to hijack RB Salzburg candidate Karim Adeyemi. Patrick Berger German outlet Sport 1 has claimed United have offered a £150,000-a-week contract to the 20-year-old – who has four goals in this season’s Champions League – but saw their efforts fall short as he appears poised to take on Erling Haaland to be replaced in Dortmund.
