LONG BEACH, Ind. (AP) – A 3-year-old girl who went missing in a community in northwestern Indiana died after being found hours later along the shore of a small lake, police said.
The girl, who had autism and was non-verbal, died Thursday despite an hours-long attempt to resuscitate her, said Sgt. Steve Forker.
She was reported missing at 11:30 a.m. Thursday and was last seen wearing a T-shirt and diaper, The (Northwest Indiana) Times reported.
