It is the second plane chartered by the provincial government to take Ukrainians to Canada’s easternmost province — the first arriving on May 9 and carrying 166 refugees.

The government has said it expects today’s flight to carry about the same number of passengers.
Officials say everyone on board has a place to go and they will be transported to that accommodation after the plane lands.
Today’s airlift is expected to come from Warsaw, Poland, where the government set up a satellite office in March to help Ukrainians move to Newfoundland and Labrador.
