The whole family will love it…
The Middle East’s leading and largest pet event, Dubai Pet Festival, is back in town on Sunday, May 22. The event takes place at Souk Al Marfa in the Deira Islands, the waterfront souk and market at Nakheel.
It’s free to attend, so whether you’re a pet owner or just a big animal lover, make sure you stop by. The one-day event will take place from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
What can you expect at Dubai Pet Festival?
In short, have fun. The festival has a packed program for pets, including fun contests, activities, and informational programs throughout the day.
See wagging tails at the dog fashion show, dog training demonstrations, cat beauty pageants, the cutest pup of all at the photogenic contest, a petting zoo and even a ‘woof’ parade.

The festival combines educational and entertaining activities to raise awareness about animal welfare and will educate visitors on all aspects related to pets. Owners will learn about the latest pet products, nutrition, pet health and more.
Visitors can also take the little ones into the kids zone which has a number of different games, slides and bouncy castles, as well as enjoy a range of food and drink kiosks.
Before you move on…
All pets must have their passport and vaccination report. They will also undergo a temperament assessment to see if they are a good boy or girl before entering the venue. A red, yellow or green ribbon will be attached to their harness or collar which must be worn within the venue at all times. Dogs must be on a leash at all times (extendable leashes are not allowed).
The animal festival opens its doors to more than just dogs, so cats are welcome too, but in a cat carrier.
