Senegalese international striker Sadio Mane confirmed he is “very happy” at Liverpool, to refute all the rumors linked to him leaving the red team this summer to join Bayern Munich.
Mane has put in a stellar performance this season, leading his team to an important 2-1 victory over Aston Villa yesterday, which allowed the “Reds” to match the points tally with English Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Mane is entering the final year of his contract with Liverpool, but so far there have been no significant discussions about extending the Senegalese striker’s contract.
Earlier this week, a German press release revealed Bayern Munich’s interest in signing the Senegalese star.
But Mane, after meeting Aston Villa, confirmed in statements from the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, that he was very happy at the “Anfield” stadium.
And speaking of his current situation in Liverpool and the possibility of him leaving the Reds, Mane said: “I feel happy in Liverpool, of course, and my happiness will increase if the club win titles.”
“I try to enjoy every moment of my life at the club and help my teammates, honestly I am very happy,” he added.
Remarkably, the 30-year-old Mane came to Liverpool from Southampton in 2016, and his current contract with the Reds expires next summer.
