Keandre Jackson, 19, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 12:45 a.m., officers responded to a shooting at a residence on the 5000 block of Roth Forest Lane.
Jackson was in a vehicle and shot into the house, assaulting a 35-year-old woman and her 11-year-old son, HCSO said.
Deputies previously said a row broke out between teens in a separate home involving an 11-year-old, but the situation was temporarily calmed by a parent.
Jackson is said to be an older relative of the boys involved in the original argument. The drive-by shooting later took place at the victim’s home.
The deputies say the woman is expected to be fine. The 11-year-old is in serious but stable condition.
“I really hope he makes it. I’ll pray for him because he’s such a sweet soul. He’s a really good boy. And I hope everyone is okay,” said a neighbor.
Anyone with information about this is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
