Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Emirates Airlines’ maiden flight has arrived in Israel’s Tel Aviv, as the company announced on its official Twitter page on Thursday.
“We have officially landed at our newest destination, Tel Aviv,” the company said in a tweet on Twitter featuring a photo of the plane landing in Tel Aviv.
For his part, Emirati traveler to Israel, Muhammad Al Khaja, wrote on his official Twitter page: “We are currently boarding the Emirates’ inaugural flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv,” he said.
And the UAE ambassador to Israel added: “I hope that this new air route will open a new path of opportunity for our people and strengthen the ties between the two countries,” he said.
Al Khaja continued: “Thank you Emirates Airlines for this step and congratulations on this success,” he said.
