Among the most prominent agreements signed are; A cooperation agreement on the rail link project between the two countries, including the establishment of the Oman and Etihad Rail Company, both owned by both parties, with the aim of designing and operating a rail network connecting the port of Sohar to the national The country’s rail network, with a total project investment of $3 billion, confirming the intention of both parties to open new horizons in the infrastructure, transportation and logistics sectors, connecting the two countries by rail and facilitating trade . I should also refer to the 10 billion dirham cooperation agreement signed between ADQ Holding and the Oman Investment Authority (OIA), to enable investment in sectors of priority and common interest between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman.
The two countries aim to deepen and expand bilateral relations to boost growth in the two countries, especially in the vital and priority industrial sectors, as the value of non-oil trade between the two countries exceeded Dirham 46 billion in 2021. , growing by 9% as of 2020, and the Sultanate of Oman is the second largest trading partner of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, accounting for 20% of its total trade with the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
