Ukrainian Refugees Cross Polish Border on Foot Before Boarding Bus to Sweden

A group of Ukrainian refugees bound for Sweden crossed the Polish-Ukrainian border on foot on March 14. Footage posted by the charity Josseharingar Hjalper Barn shows a group of refugees making their way toward a bus parked near the border crossing in Berdyszcze, Poland, on the evening of March 14. The charity, which grew from helping local children to also providing aid in Ukraine, had filled the bus with humanitarian aid before leaving Arvika, Sweden, on March 14. The aid was unloaded at the border to continue into Ukraine as the refugees boarded the bus. According to Josseharingar Hjalper Barn, the group of refugees picked up in Berdyszcze included a grandmother with eight grandchildren and an 18-year-old refugee who was escorted over by their mother, who then returned to Ukraine.
