Victoria’s COVID-19 cases slightly increase as thousands return to the office

New South Wales has recorded just four cases more than Victoria overnight – 5856 – marking a slight drop from the 6014 cases recorded yesterday.

There were six more people in NSW who died with the virus overnight.

In Victoria, hospitalizations of people with the virus have increased slightly since yesterday.

There are 283 people in hospital with the virus, compared to 274 yesterday.

Of those patients, 42 in ICU, compared to 38 yesterday.

There are 1136 people in hospital with COVID-19 in NSW, with 55 in intensive care.

The state’s mask mandate for most indoor settings was removed at the same time.
