Wisconsin anti-abortion group targeted by Molotov cocktail arson: Report

An anti-abortion group in Wisconsin said on Sunday that someone threw a Molotov cocktail into its Madison office and sprayed a message outside: “If abortion isn’t safe, neither are you.”

Local reporters from the likes of WISC-TV, the Wisconsin State Journal and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said they visited the Wisconsin Family Action office on Sunday and shared photos and videos of the apparent arson attack. A shattered window had since been boarded up and images showed fire-damaged furniture and burnt books lying on the office floor.

The outside of the building was labeled in italics: “If abortions aren’t safe, then neither are you.”

Julaine Applin, president of the Wisconsin Family Action, told News 3 Now that around 6 a.m. someone threw a Molotov cocktail into her office and she didn’t know who was behind the attack.

In recent days, Wisconsin Family Action has condemned the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion that, if published, would quash Roe v. Wade.
