Woman, 94, seriously injured in North York collision

Police are further investigating a weekend accident in North York that seriously injured a 94-year-old woman.

Toronto police said the woman was driving south in a white 2021 Nissan Sentra on Dufferin Street near Orfus Road when she lost control of the vehicle at 11:40 a.m. Saturday. The car climbed onto the curb and drove onto the sidewalk where it hit a wooden column of water, police said, before colliding with a metal pole on private property.

“The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries,” the Toronto Police Department said in a press release on Tuesday morning.

The investigation is underway.
