Two people have been killed after the driver of a vehicle lost control and the vehicle slammed into a building in Brighton Park late Sunday, Chicago police said.
The car was driving south on the 4300 block of South Archer Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. when the crash occurred, according to a witness who spoke to police.
Paramedics transported the 18-year-old man driving the car and a woman in the passenger seat to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, where they were both pronounced dead shortly afterwards. The woman died at 11:32 PM on Sunday and the man died at 12:56 PM on Monday.
The Major Accidents Unit is investigating the cause of the accident, the police said. Police did not receive any additional information Monday morning.
