When Carrie Underwood arrived on stage at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival with the opening notes of Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle,” did her fans expect Axl Rose to join her later on 16 songs?
They should have. Rose arrived on stage to a thunderous roar from the crowd during “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” after Underwood performed the first verse in a Guns N’ Roses T-shirt.
“Welcome to the best night of my life,” Underwood shouted. “Give it up for Axl Rose!”
He took the second verse from there. The duo also performed “Paradise City”. Both hits are from the band’s 1987 debut album, ‘Appetite for Destruction’.

Rose is no stranger to the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Guns N’ Roses headlined the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival there in 2016.
Fans couldn’t believe what they saw.
