Cal Fire extinguishing vegetation fire

JEWELL VALLEY, Calif. — Firefighters from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection are working to extinguish a blaze near the US-Mexico border, authorities said.

The fire, currently in the Jewell Valley, is about two to three acres in size and is progressing at “slow speed.” caI fire tweeted Saturday afternoon.

A total of four tankers are assisting in efforts to extinguish the blaze, Cal Fire officials told FOX 5, but access to the area is limited due to the location of the fire.
