Moroccan sports club Wydad reached the final of the African Champions League on Friday, despite a draw in the field by Angola’s Petro Atletico, with a goal for the same in the second leg of the semi-final.

Petro Atletico advanced with a goal from Brazilian striker Gelson Moreira in the 21st minute, but Wydad quickly equalized in the 28th minute via defender Amin Farhan.

Wydad took advantage of his first leg win in Angola by three goals to one to qualify for the final and outperformed the result of the two encounters with a total of 4-2 goals.

In the closing scene, Wydad takes on the qualifiers of Algerian ES Setif and his Egyptian counterpart, Al-Ahly, knowing that the first leg between the two teams ended with the latter’s four-goal win with no reaction.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) set the date for the final game on Monday, May 30, without specifying the start time.

CAF granted Morocco the honor of hosting the final for the second time in a row, meaning Wydad will play the final among his fans.
