STORM WATCH: Ian’s Remains – More Showers Sunday in NYC; gusts can reach 40+ mph

Storm Watch Meteorologist Allan Nosoff says the center of Ian’s remains could be close enough to create an isolated shower on Monday or Tuesday.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy, raw and cool. Isolated fog/drizzle. Low to 55.

TOMORROW – WEATHER TO WATCH: Mostly cloudy and windy. Wind gusts of 30-40+ mph are expected. Showers and/or persistent rain are possible in the afternoon. The best chance is just south and east of NYC, we will be on the brink of some showers. Highs hover near 57. Lows drop to 49.

MONDAY: An erratic forecast. The center of Ian’s remains is close enough to cause showers, especially in the morning. Most models don’t pick up on this. Otherwise it will be mostly cloudy and windy. Wind gusts up to 30 mph. Highs near 59. Lows to 50 with an isolated chance of a shower.

TUESDAY: Mix of sun and clouds, remains windless. Highs near 62. An isolated shower cannot be ruled out, especially early. Low to 51.

MIDWEEK: Back to nice weather! Plenty of sun and highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. Low point in the mid-50s.
