BMW partners with Blitzz to provide video software for roadside assistance

According to Burris, there was no technical adjustment involved. BMW chose Blitzz because the platform included all the features BMW Roadside Assistance wanted to offer its customers.

Roadside technicians can use Blitzz to easily help customers with questions about their vehicles, even if they’re struggling to articulate the problem.

“Ultimately, Blitzz helps us provide another level of customer service,” he said. It is “a tool primarily used to guide customers and allay their concerns.”

BMW Roadside Assistance has an established process for assisting customers with disabled vehicles and can send help if needed and even alert emergency services.

So far, the results have proved helpful. Since BMW started the program with Blitzz in December 2020, it has received between 150 and 200 calls per month. Due to the visual component of the Blitzz program, Burris said the length of conversations is getting shorter.
