ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) — The Office of the Professions (OP) warns licensed New York state professionals of a scam involving phone calls, emails, and written letters from individuals posing as employees of the state’s education department New York. The scammers say the professional’s license has been suspended in an effort to collect licensure and personal or financial information from the licensee.
If you receive a request that you think may be suspicious, do not provide any information. Contact them directly through their website to verify that the question was actually from OP.
