Police are calling for public help in locating a missing man from a Heathcote aged care community.

Peter Elwin, 76, was last seen at the facility on The Avenue about 11 a.m. yesterday (Friday).

When he could not be found, officers from the Sutherland Police Area Command were contacted.

There are concerns for his well-being as he lives with dementia.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 150cm to 155cm tall, of medium build, with gray hair and blue eyes.

Mr. Elwin was last seen wearing black trousers, a white short sleeve top with black polka dots, black shoes and a dark colored cap.

He may be in the Heathcote and Engadin areas and may be visiting a licensed property.

Anyone with information on Peter’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Sutherland Police of Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
