SA Covid cases start May 1: two men dead, 3000 new cases

Two men have died and 229 people are in hospital with Covid-19 according to the latest report.

3,070 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in South Australia on Saturday, SA Health reported Sunday.

Two men who tested positive for Covid have died, one in his forties and one in his fifties.

There are 229 people with Covid-19 in hospital, including 16 people in ICU, with one person on a ventilator. Of those hospitalized, 174 people have been fully vaccinated, 49 people have not been or partially vaccinated, and six have unknown vaccination status.

There are currently 24,792 active cases in South Australia – SA Health said the total has been adjusted due to a reconfiguration of the data.
