Warm temperatures with isolated storms possible this week

DENVER (KDVR) — Beautiful and warm sun with upper 70s highlights on Sunday. We will have a breeze of about 10 to 20 mph.

Sunday night will be mostly clear skies and mild temperatures, which are great conditions for viewing the total lunar eclipse.

Monday will be even warmer with maximums around 15 degrees above average. Mostly sunny skies help warm temperatures into the mid-80s and can bring an isolated daytime storm into the evening.

The above-average highs persist for much of this week. There will be some extra cloud on Tuesday with an isolated chance of a late day shower.

Wednesday has highs in the lower 80’s and lots of sunshine. All the sunshine brings some late-day storm opportunities, especially those extending into the eastern plains.

Winds will increase through Thursday afternoon with maximums around 90 degrees.

Then we’ll keep a close eye on the weekend, a cold front could potentially push us down into the 60s with a chance of some much-needed moisture. Now it’s an opportunity, not a guarantee.
